Android Running on N810
Really exciting news!! This wiki page on eLinux.org describes with details the instructions for running Google's Android on OMAP based platforms, such as the Nokia Internet Tablets. There are also threads on Android Internals and Linux OMAP mailing lists.

hmm, i wonder if there will be a x86 variant of android.
if so, it should not surprise me if google expands to set top boxes or game consoles...
Technically speaking, there is nothing stopping them in this area. The SDK actually runs on a x86 system over an emulated ARM system with Qemu.
The biggest problem in my point of view is to adapt the currently "mobile UI" to specific needs of set top boxes, games consoles or whatever other use.
GUI has never be the reason of their succes ... look at the gmail interface ....
I hope that UME will be more spread than Android...
Maybe my 770 can be of any use after all. Just doing Canola now.
BTW your OMAP link goes to your own blog.
@anonymous: Thanks for the tip. The link is now fixed.
