They are basically UI adjustments to fit the 770 reduced screen.

So, the Maemo Gnumeric version will open Microsoft Excel spreadsheets the original gnumeric does. :) This applies to Abiword and Microsof Word documents too.

About the OpenOffice documents, we have here in INdT office people working on importer and exporter plugins for Abiword and Gnumeric, that will make these two programs able to open and write documents and spreadsheets using the OpenDocument standard. We hope to have they done by the end of this year.

I hope to have answered your questions. It is a way to make our work more visible to the community. :)

And about "etrunko", yes, it is my nickname, and it is the one i use in IRC channels, but i do not have any special preference of which one you could use. Maybe the one that sounds better. ;)

Best Regards, Eduardo (etrunko).etrunkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00559157791980911254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14702826.post-1126576747833816412005-09-12T22:59:00.000-03:002005-09-12T22:59:00.000-03:00Yes, we all hope they live up to that promise :-)I...Yes, we all hope they live up to that promise :-)

I've put some of this info in the Internet Tablet Users blog, at http://internettablettalk.com/blog

Is etrunko a nickname for Eduardo? Is that how you would prefer to be called? Or is it just a "screen name"?

RogerRoger Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00182610656957123980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14702826.post-1126551116970519042005-09-12T15:51:00.000-03:002005-09-12T15:51:00.000-03:00I am as anxious as most people are. We have it running since June when we started our work with 1.4.3 version. So you can see some screen captures in http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnumeric-list/2005-June/msg00017.html

Our objective is to port the applications and have all the code merged to CVS head of each project. Right now, i am starting the port of the last Evince version.

Regards, Etrunko.etrunkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00559157791980911254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14702826.post-1126300222110142082005-09-09T18:10:00.000-03:002005-09-09T18:10:00.000-03:00Is the Maemo port of Gnumeric going well?
